I am currently building Gopher Wood Engine. My goals for it are to be a high-performance, cross-platform, and modular game engine built from the ground up in C# to empower developers with modern tooling and a clean architecture.
It is leveraging low-level APIs like Vulkan for cutting-edge graphics rendering and OpenAL for spatial audio, giving you fine-grained control over performance and cross-platform capabilities. At its core, the engine uses the lightweight and highly efficient Arch ECS for entity-component management, enabling scalable and data-oriented game development. Physics are powered by the fast and robust Jolt Physics, delivering reliable real-time simulation.
Creating Gopher Wood has been an incredibly gratifying process. It allows me to blend creativity and engineering into something meaningful; tailored specifically for the types of experiences I want to craft and share.
